Marketing Professor Wins Outstanding Faculty Award

Sweeney receives inaugural Pi Kappa Alpha and Beta Theta Pi faculty award.

March 11, 2009 – Professor Ric Sweeney, member of the Marketing Faculty in the College of Business, was honored on March 10, 2009 with the inaugural Outstanding Faculty Award presented by Pi Kappa Alpha and Beta Theta Pi fraternities. This award was given at the annual scholarship dinner where brothers of each fraternity were recognized for academic excellence. In presenting the award, Brad Stephens, Jordan Brewer and Alex Hotte commended Sweeney for “consistently achieving as a member of the University of Cincinnati community, both in and outside the classroom, and leaving a significant impact on the members of both these great fraternal organizations.”

The Alpha Xi chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha www.ucpikes.org, originally established on May 30, 1909, is dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character and to fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience.

The Beta Nu Chapter of Beta Theta Pi www.ucbeta.org, originally founded in 1930, is dedicated to building men of principle for a principled life.
